Will I be living alongside other Christ Church Fellows?

Housing arrangements are not part of the Christ Church Fellows program and you are responsible for finding your own housing. However, we would be happy to assist you in your search and to connect you with other future Fellows who may also be looking for housing.

Do I need to have a desire to have a career in ministry to take part in the Fellows Program?

No, the Fellows program is simply an opportunity to spend a year surrounded by the grace of God as you discern what the next chapter of life will look like. We’ve had fellows go on to be nurses, computer engineers, lawyers, licensed therapists, editors, advertising executives, and more.

Do I have to fundraise?

No fundraising is required to take part in either Fellows program.

What is the time commitment for the Fellows Program?

This is a part-time commitment, and will vary from fellow to fellow. It’s possible to hold a part time job while taking part in the Fellows Program.

Do I have to be Episcopalian?

You do not have to be Episcopalian to apply, but of course you will be attending an Episcopal church while in the program. If, in the course of your Fellows program, you become interested in formally joining the church we will assist you in that endeavor.

Do I have to have a Bachelor’s Degree or be a current UVA student to be a Fellow?

No! We are happy you may have a unique background or career path. Please contact us explaining your situation and he will help you decide which program might be right for you!

Do I have to live in Charlottesville?

When you apply you do not have to be presently living in Charlottesville, or even in Virginia! We accept applicants from everywhere! We hope that you will visit Charlottesville before committing to the program, or at the very least take part in a virtual call with Josh or Jen. When the program begins you must be living in Charlottesville.
